Fieberbrunn - LeogangNEW in summer 2026: from 11.07.-30.08.2026, the new “Bike & Hike Xpress” will connect the Fieberbrunn and Leogang mountain railways for the first time during the summer season! This fast and comfortable Xpress bus service offers guests and locals a flexible way to conveniently combine both regions and their cable cars offerings.
Mountain bikers
Ideal for anyone who wants to switch flexibly between the Lines & Trails in Fieberbrunn and the Epic Bikepark Leogang. Also perfect for anyone taking on “The Challenge” bike loop in Austria’s largest bike region Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.
Hikers
Ideal for anyone who wants to explore hiking trails in both regions - whether it’s a cool high-altitude hike on the Asitz in Leogang or a hike to Wildseeloder lake in Fieberbrunn.
Families
And it’s perfect for families who want to reach the cable cars to the family adventure parks, the Berg der Sinne in Leogang and Timok’s Wild World in Fieberbrunn - without the hassle of driving. Strollers can also be brought along on the bus.

Questions & Answers
- The bike & hike Xpress is a new, supplementary service that is not integrated into the regular public transport system and must therefore be fully funded by the project partners.
- Free use of public transport with guest cards is limited to the respective tourism association and/or state. The new Xpress connection is a novel, cross-state service.
- The advantage of the bike & hike Xpress lies in the direct connection of relevant tourist stops (cable cars) across state borders - without having to transfer, for example, from bus to bus or bus to train at the state border between Salzburg and Tyrol in Hochfilzen.
The project partners (the Pillerseetal and Saalfelden Leogang tourism associations, as well as Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn and Leoganger Bergbahnen) view the summer 2026 service as a kind of pilot project to determine whether and to what extent the new offering will be utilized. The results will then be evaluated.
The trailer can hold 16 mountain bikes. In addition, the bus has room for up to 3 mountain bikes

No, the use of the Fieberbrunn cable cars is not included. Guest card holders receive a discount of approximately 10% on the ascent & descent tickets in Fieberbrunn.
We recommend both the joint bike tickets (for 1 day or more) and the joint WanderCard (for 2 days or more).
