ABOUT THE PICNIC CONCERTS

FAQs about the picnic concerts

What time do the picnic concerts start?

The picnic concerts start at 7:30 pm. From 6 p.m. one ride with Timok's Alpine Coaster is free of charge. The Fieberbrunn cable cars operate continuously until 10:30 p.m. on Fridays.

Where are the concerts and can I get there?

The event location is in the Timoks Wilde Welt Family & Leisure Park at the Streuböden midway station and can be reached with the F1 Streuböden gondola lift (1st section). Alternatively, you can reach the area in an approx. 1-hour hike from the valley station via hiking trail no. 8.

Which lift tickets are valid on Long Fridays?

On the Long Fridays, all season & annual tickets as well as association cards such as the PillerseeTal Card (note one use per day) or Kitzbüheler Alpen Summer Card are valid. In addition, normal single rides (uphill & downhill) can be purchased as during the day.

Who can I take to the picnic concerts?

Whether young or young-at-heart, rock fan, Austropop lover or cover song hitsinger: the Picnic Concerts have something for every age group and in all styles. But one thing is always guaranteed: a cozy evening in the midst of unique mountain scenery and appropriate background music.

How can I order a picnic basket?

The picnic basket can be purchased directly on the Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn website at fieberbrunn.com/longfriday. It is also possible to purchase a basket at the cable car ticket office. An order is possible until 12 noon the day before. On Long Friday, the basket can be picked up until 8 p.m. at the S4 Alm at the valley station. The return takes place after the event at the same place. There you will also receive the online paid deposit back in cash.

What can I bring to the picnic concert?

All visitors are invited to bring their own picnic blankets and filled picnic baskets. Since it can cool down quickly on the mountain in the evening and the ground can get damp, we recommend bringing water-resistant picnic blankets or a jacket.

For visitors who cannot or do not want to sit on the ground, our wheelbarrow benches are available at the middle station (free of charge - first come - first serve, to be returned after use).

What happens in case of bad weather?

In case of bad weather the concert will take place in the S4 Alm at the bottom station.

What infrastructure is available on site?

At the P3 gondola on Timok's meadow you can buy various drinks and snacks.

Toilets are available directly at the Streuböden middle station. The Streubödenalm is open on the picnic concerts until 17:30 - depending on the weather even longer.

On July 28 and August 4, the concerts take place on the Streubödenalm terrace. On these days, closing time is at 10:30 pm.

How do I get to the cable cars?

A free bus shuttle for visitors from the PillerseeTal is also available at the Long Friday.

Is there a place for visitors with physical impairments?

Yes, the use of the cable cars and the gravel path from the middle station to the meadow are barrier-free. Visitors with wheelchairs can easily choose a suitable place for themselves. Visitors who cannot sit on the ground can borrow a wheelbarrow bench.
