GOODBYE GUB!

On April 1st, Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn not only ended this year's winter season, but also marked the end of a 33-year era: the Streuböden and Lärchfilzkogel gondola lifts had their last day of operation and were bid farewell with music, free drinks and free mountain rides for all lift guests. For many winter and summer seasons, the lifts were a loyal means of transportation up the mountain - over 23 million trips up the mountain were counted in the history of the GUB. So it was a sad end to the season. 

The red eye-catching gondolas have been in tireless use since 1991, and thanks to them we have experienced some wonderful mountain moments: fantastic skiing days, never-ending mountain hikes, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, glittering parties, spectacular sports competitions, even marriage proposals and much more. Every Fieberbrunn resident has probably collected their own "GUB moment" in the long history of the resort.

In 2024, this era has now come to an end. Old school is over - from winter 2024/25, one of the most modern Doppelmayr monocable gondolas will lead up to the Lärchfilzkogel. Reduced travel time, more capacity, more comfort & quality, better views, more sustainability - with these flattering facts, our melancholy slowly gives way to anticipation. We are looking forward to this torque for Fieberbrunn!
