The current METZGERWIRT was purchased in 1930 by Josef Scheffauer (holder of the Golden Medal of Valor). The Metzgerwirt has been in the possession of the Scheffauer family for three generations now.

A lot of hard work and diligence have made the Metzgerwirt what it is now - a very comfortably equipped ***+ hotel with the cuisine and atmosphere of a good ****hotel!
Time and again, the Scheffauer family has renovated the hotel with a lot of love and commitment and a new wing has been added.
