current situation

Stricter COVID-19 measures are in effect again in Austria as of 26th December - with the goal of reducing the 7-day incidence to below 100.

First easings came into force in Austria on 8th February. This includes, among other things, an opening of trade, schools and body-related services (under strict conditions).

Since Friday, February 12th, leaving Tyrol is only possible with a negative corona test (antigen or PCR). This may not be older than 48 hours. This measure is initially limited to 10 days.

Ski resorts were allowed to open with 24 December 2020 and are available to day visitors and locals for sports and recreation (FFP2 mask obligation). Since 15th February 2021, it's also mandatory to bring a negative corona test (antigen or PCR, not older than 48 hours) with you when using the ski slopes. Individual outdoor sports such as cross-country skiing, tobogganing or ski tours are possible. Gastronomy and accommodation* establishments are expected to be allowed to reopen by Easter. As soon as the infection has receded enough to allow tourism to resume, we will be well prepared.

*Exception accommodation establishments: workers and business travelers are allowed to spend the night in the region.

Ski area

Partial operation in the Skicircus: The areas Fieberbrunn, Leogang and Saalbach as well as the connection between Leogang and Saalbach are open, all information here.

The lift companies have set up a comprehensive package of measures for your safety including the implementation of tubular scarves and masks MNP (mouth and nose protectors, partially FFP2 masks), organised queuing areas, hygiene and disinfection measures, employee screenings and much more.

You will find all details in the section together safely through the winter in the ALPIN CARD ski areas

For the Tyrolean part in the Skicircus (Fieberbrunn) the following regulations apply since 15th February 2021:

  • All people who use the ski slopes during operating hours must have a negative Covid test result with them, which is not older than 48 hours old (PCR or antigen). Except for ski tourers.
  • People who have been infected with the coronavirus in the past six months do not need a test- but instead a doctor's certificate.
  • Children under the age of 10 are exempt from the obligations
  • Spot checks are carried out by the health authority. The cable cars are not obliged to check that guests are carrying a negative Covid test result. The lift employees further on check that skiers are wearing an FFP2 mask and keep distance (at least 2 meters).

The promotion applies to all bookings for participating businesses via the TVB PillerseeTal website, with arrival up to 30.04.2021.

Legally, you are entitled to cancel accommodation within the agreed time frame, without providing any reason. In times like these we would however ask for common sense. We would therefore ask that you only make use of the right of cancellation when it is unsafe for you to travel, in connection to the Corona pandemic. In the event of cancellation at short notice, out hosts will for the most part not have time to re-let any accommodation that becomes available.

All bookings that have already been made retain their original contract validity. In this case we would ask you to get in touch with your accommodation provider.
